Owning an above-ground Bestway pool offers wonderful and relaxing opportunities to spend your leisure time on a hot day. Maintaining your above-ground pool requires understanding which Bestway pool parts you need to check and replace at different times of the year. Pool sand filters for above-ground pools use a specific type of sand, known as pool sand, to filter the water. Bestway sand filter parts work at their optimal capability when the pool sand is replaced every 5 to 7 years. Depending upon the size of your above-ground pool, you may need anywhere from 50 to 300 lbs of pool sand in your filter. The antimicrobial filter in your Bestway above-ground pool cleans microbes and other contaminants from the water of your pool. Under normal usage, an antimicrobial filter has a lifespan of approximately 2,000 hours of pump use; under these conditions, consider replacing your antimicrobial filter every 1-2 years. However, if you use your above ground pool for more than 3 or 4 months in a year, or if you have a high amount of everyday contaminants in the water, you may need to replace it sooner.

Winterizing is an important step to the overall maintenance of your above-ground pool. Winterizing your pool prepares it for harsher, colder temperatures and protects the pool from the potential of freeze damage. Drain the majority of the water from your pool, leaving about 6 inches of water in the bottom; never drain your pool completely dry. After draining, you will need to have these parts on hand:
