Choosing Bosca Briefcases and Attache Bags

Bosca brand began making stylish Italian leather cases, wallets, and other leather items in 1911.  They continue to make modern cases that are laptop compatible and they continue to carry a vintage look with the Old Leather Collection. They provide products for both men and women.

What Are the Options for Leather Briefcases and Accessories for the Man on the Go?

You may be looking into Bosca Men briefcases because you are a professional on the go who wants to have a sturdy everyday bag for carrying all of your business papers and supplied, but they also carry other useful products for everyday and travel.  Here are a few of the items they manufacture.

  • Briefcases - For an all around practical case, get the Old Leather Stringer Bag with a double zip-top and two main compartments.  It is lightweight and can accommodate a 15 inch laptop.  It also has a roller bag attachment strap and zippered gusseted pockets on both sides.
  • Wallets - If you like having the style and convenience of the Stringer Bag, you can all go ahead and get a wallet too. There are several Bosca Men's wallets to choose from including styles like bifold, trifold, hipster, and front pocket wallets. You can also get a simple card case.
  • Shaving Kits - For business travel, consider purchasing the Old Leather 10 inch zipper Utilikit with a washable zip-out lining and a wide mouth for easy viewing. Old Leather is hand-stained and certified vegetable tanned with a glossy finish and classic look.

How Do I Care for Leather?

Once you have your leather briefcase, wallet, or shaving kit, how do you care for it? Leather is the preserved skin of an animal that is soft and pliable. It needs occasional oiling to keep it alive and to protect it from dry rotting.

  • Basic Cleaning - The interior cloth liner is usually removable from the case, and you can clean this by hand with a mild detergent solution. The leather exterior is subject to damage from oxidation, sunlight, heat, and abrasions.  If it gets dirty, you can wipe it clean with a damp cloth.
  • Minor Abrasions - If you get small scuff marks, just rub your finger over the surface and the oils in the leather will rub out over the affected area.
  • Lubrication - It is a good idea to periodically do a deep clean with a leather soap and feed it with oil made for leather products.  You don't need to do this that often, but if you notice the leather is getting stiff, that is when you know it needs to be fed. Stiff leather will crack more easily.
