Breitling Avenger - 44 mm, Titanium

High quality, tool watch from Breitling!

The Breitling Seawolf Avenger is a fantastic luxury sports watch and is a great value when purchased on the used market. The Breitling caliber 17 movement is based on the super reliable and robust ébauche ETA 2824-2. It is regulated and COSC certified. My particular watch has been running steadily at better than -1 sec/day since I got it. The dial is extremely easy to read and the yellow on mine really pops but the lume on the titanium version is only okay. The newer Avenger II Seawolf in steel has an improved dial with more lume to address this issue. The titanium case is 44mm across and 18mm thick but really wears smaller than it is. The fact that titanium is 40% lighter than steel helps keep the watch from being annoyingly heavy on the wrist but it still feels like a tank. I've read that the titanium Breitling uses is a bit soft and picks up scratches easily but I haven't found that to be an issue with my watch. The watch is rated to a ridiculous 10,000 ft so you probably don't need to worry about swimming or showering with this one! My Seawolf came with the Breitling Professional II titanium bracelet which is extremely comfortable. It does not come with a diver's extension, however. If you want that, the older Breitling Professional I bracelet does have a diver's extension. Overall, I'm really happy with my purchase of the Breitling Avenger Seawolf Titanium. It's a very unique looking, dive watch that is less blingy and busy than a lot of Breitling's other watches. Plus, the build quality is impeccable, the accuracy is extremely good and it feels every bit the bombproof tool watch that it is.

Best Breitling I've Owned

Coming from a person that has had many fine Swiss timepieces as well as several Breitlings, this has become my go to wrist wear, even my Submariner 116613 lb. This Seawolf can go from tool watch casual to classy suit and tie attire. The titanium is light for such a robust case. Took a bit to get used to but love it. It weighs less than my Sub which is sizibly smaller. Classic military dial that appears to be sans a crystal. 3 dimensional to boot. At 44mm without crown, fits many wrist sizes. You cannot go wrong with this piece. Breitling heritage to back it.
